What oil for 24hp honda?

What weight oil should I use in a 24 hp honda v twin? My winter temps range from 20 to 50 and my summer temps from 70 to 90. It came out of a genorator. Also what about synthetic?

I would use the cheapest crap walmart sells...oil is oil..

works in your grandfathers lawnmower..

I use Royal Purple 10w-30 so far works great did my first oil change oil looks and smells new still!!

I was running royal purple in my last motor. it ran quiter, better, and cooler. i could let the cart sit for days, pull the valve cover off and there is still alot of oil sitting on the valves. i have since installed a briggs vtwin and im about to change the oil for the first time and im going back to royal purple

Yep on all of the above^^^ oil always on the valves!!!

when i ran standard motor oil, i could pull the valve cover and the valves would be almost dry. i could adjust the valves and not even need to wipe the oil off my tools when i was done.

Yep, bought & sold at your friendly neighborhood Napa Auto. Same filter used in the Honda Civics.
