Duromax Install Stuck Trade for stocker
HiFriends!!! I've been reading all the threads on the duromax install to the ez go workhorse but I am not mechanically gifted and now stuck and get anything to work plus the tiny little plastic clutch lever broke off arggggg. I bought the 16 hp duromax electric start motor last month the big block carrier from cpp and stock clutch adapter. Unfortunately I got the old motor out and the new motor mounts in but I cant get the motor to fit and have no idea how to do the wiring and throttle lines. I've come to the point where I would rather trade or sell the duromax 16 hp motor with the adapter that is already on the motor and the shaft was cut to size and tapped by a local machine shop and ez go big block carrier from performance parts plus. Wanted to get more horsepower when my stock 295 robbins blew but so fed up with this project I just want my cart running again. So if someone has a 350 robbins let me know maybe we can bargain. Once thanks guys for all the help and advice!!! Sorry I posted this post in gas ez go too any help or advice would be really helpful!!

Re: Duromax Install Stuck Trade for stocker
The clone is great, what you having a problem with start a thread and we can help you out. Expect some (a lot of) screwing around, that is why its so cheap. Check the price on a v-twin swap kit. It took me a while to get the swap done and I've built industrial equipment, rebuilt small and car engines, worked in a welding shop, done autobody painted and clipped whole cars....not that much I've not done lol except I never built race cars/etc. I lifted carts in '99, made all the parts and welded it myself, not hard but not as easy as bolting on a kit either. Clone has good power you will enjoy it once its done. Its up to you just don't let some stupid detail stop you.

Re: Duromax Install Stuck Trade for stocker
Your right sho305. I spent all weekend messing around and finally got everything to fit and line up and even start! All I need now is a new belt any suggestions?

Re: Duromax Install Stuck Trade for stocker
You can measure it, you want the belt around the outside of the secondary (on the trans) and inside the primary on engine. Then add 2" and that should be real close to proper length. Does that have a 1 3/16 wide belt? I think they do, in that case you can get a lot of sizes in those for old snowmobiles. Mcmaster carr lists a bunch of them on the net, CPP has them too.
Here is the page http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/big-b...lt-length.html |
