Re: Governor questions, big block Honda
fstg21 knows everything about the honda 24hp motors. You might want to follow my post below because I am running 30mph and he is going to get me to 40mph. I will test and report back on every change that we make.

More power or RPMS?
Do you want top speed or grunt out of the hole? |

Re: Governor questions, big block Honda
Right now I have pretty good Grunt, I would like to see some top end speed out of it..... I stretched it pretty long and the cage added some weight...

Fyi...Rev kits are pretty limited on Honda's...not sure that they are needed unless you start getting near 6k. I'll let the experts give advice though

Re: Governor questions, big block Honda
Well, I see you're running a smaller tire what size is it?
Are you still running a stock gearset? Upgrading one or both of these is a great way to gain some top speed without digging too far into the engine. |

Re: Governor questions, big block Honda
Ill have to check on the tire size. I believe the gears are the stockers . What tire size and gears should I be looking at to run seeing that the cart is fairly heavy....

Re: Governor questions, big block Honda
I played around with one of the smaller governor springs making it a little tighter. Seemed to help a bit on gaining topend.... Is this another area to look at on these motors. I'm set up came with 3 springs total for the governor... |
