really need clutch help!!
Ok guys, I am running a 1000 cc briggs (60 hp). I have been running a comet 1190 for a few years. I messed it up when I was tearing down my cart this winter. I messed up the splines that the covers splines go on the shafts splines. Ok, there are no 1190 clutches available! What do I do? Has anyone used a open faced clutch that carts parts plus sells? I think the sand would eat up the clutch , am I wrong? Any help would be great! Thanks.

Re: really need clutch help!!
I know of a lot of open clutches running for years in
grass drag sleds. If concerned you could fab a clutch box with an elevated intake to the center of the drive and then an exhaust from the edge area on the secondary. It would also help cool the clutches. |
