Default Honda GX670 24hp exhaust

I removed my exhaust to take it tomorrow to have the tubes modified with better bends. One pipe had a leak which I just thought would be fixed with a new gasket.

Upon removal though, it appears that the furthest pipe is twisted slightly. Are they supposed to line up with a straight edge on a Honda GX670? Here is a pic with the straight edge tight against the second pipe. Notice the gap? Should it be bent so they sit flat against the straight edge?

Yes. They are. the flange warped because someone was in a hurry when they welded it.

Then they didn't bother to check and correct it later.

Thanks! Because I am only taking the exhaust there and not dragging the entire cart along....does anyone know the proper distance between the exhaust holes? I assume the weld shop will ask so when they get the pipes straight they will know the exact distance that they should be apart.

Have them make them as 2 separate pipes with a slip fitting so you can adjust the length.

I have a couple of headers here. Depending on where the shop is I might be able to drop one off as a sample. PM Me

Where are you guys getting Honda headers, or having them made? I've been cobbling together a header and exhaust for my GX610 build, but wish it looked smoother ;) . I know someone could make it with a lot less welds and pieces that I did! LOL Will the 670 header fit the 610?

Mine was built by Bigfoot Carts who used to do these conversions before the AZ economy tanked. It has two pipes that merge into one 2" and go to a muffler that mounts to the gearbox with two tips coming off and chrome tips. Looks nice and is all stainless but the header design needs to be modified. The second pipe just T's a 90 degree angle into the first. I have been driving around for 2 days with mine in the car because work is getting in the way of my fun. I plan to have the shop rework the header to have the second pipe the same length as the first and have it curve around and merge in a collector.

Stretch Plastics makes a GX670 header only $125 or full exhaust with Supertrapp style exhaust tip $215. The header design is what I want mine to match. I will buy that and sell mine if the shop wants too much money to modify it.

I don't know if a 670 fits a 610. If not, it might make more sense to have mine made to fit a 610 since they are reworking the header anyways.

I say no based on this post that a 610 and 630 won't match....THIS ENGINE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
CAN USE GX630 SPEC QZB2

EXHAUST SYSTEM ON YOUR OLD GX610 WILL NOT BE COMPATABLE WITH THE GX630 ENGINE

YOU WILL NEED TO MODIFY YOUR EXISTING EXHAUST SYTEM OR INSTALL A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM.

Viper, here's some specs,

Vz, the GX670 and 610, 620 are generally not the same for the exauhst ports.
They are designated as industrial and consumer models.

My 620 did conform to the commercial standard and therefore I was able to use the Stretch Plastics header. If your ports look like the GX670 in the image below, you CAN use the Stretch pipe as it is made for the 670.

....although I found another link that contradicts my last post because it implies that this exhaust fits all three. Pretty confusing.
Honda Left-Hand Muffler Kit for GX610, GX620, & GX670 V-Twin Engines, Model VHRM5

essness.....two things....mine is in a club car, and the exhaust would exit in the opposite direction as the pipe shown. Also....the 2nd and third picture contradict each other in the port relationship. Mine looks just like the third photo, however. I'll measure the distance and see if it is the same center to center.
