Little Big Block EZGO

Here's the progress of my little big block. It involves a 20HP Honda engine only because the cart came with it. Otherwise I would have rather had the 31hp Vanguard. But who's complaining when you get the cart, engine, all new plastic, brand new wheels and tires all for only $1800...
I WILL be replacing the wheels and tires though. I need 12" aluminum wrapped in 25's.

This was my biggest hangup when I got it home yesterday. Without an instruction sheet I'm a bit lost, but I'm figuring it out alright.

Anybody else do this upgrade, did you need a new passenger side brake cable along with the workhorse F/R cables?
I'm not sure there is enough slack in that brake cable to route around the cradle... is there?

I know some have had to replace that brake cable when using a 6" lift along with vtwin cradles, they use the drivers side cable of the bigger model workhorse, it's 1" longer than the pass. side cable of the smaller models. I'm not so sure about the F/R cable, seems like you should be able to make yours work. The bigger model workhorse ones are about 11" longer

I have about 2 or 3 days to wait until I can rest this engine onto the cradle actually. I was getting a bit premature. I waiting on my clutch spacer and longer F/R cables to arrive.
So that means I have 2 days to clean out this engine compartment of crap I don't need in there anymore.

I know I can rip out that vacuum manifold that goes to the fuel pump and all of the electronics on the accelerator pedal (leaving the cable).
What about all the wiring and hardware stuff on the battery tray? Do I need any of that or can I rip all the junk out too?

YES - When you add a 24 hp Honda to an EZGO you need longer F/R cables and the RH brake cable (which all are included in our kit). Hey - Powerwash that thing before you do any more work! You'll be happy you did and your project pics will look much better to you when you look back on them over the years!

I know I need the longer cables, that's why I have a 2-3 day wait.
It's already been washed and looks great. I just haven't take new pictures of it since then. But what about all the cables and hardware that are mounted to the battery tray? Those need to stay or can I yank 'em too?

You shouldn't use any of the stock wiring / electronics. I don't know what you have? Did you not get a complete engine with wiring, engine cradle and electronics?

Nope, I bought this cart as you see it sitting here. So I have to piece this thing all together. The seller had a bunch of plastic and he gave me a brand new hood and a rear plastic body for it. I don't think that rear body will fit on this cart without a little modification. I wanted to build a small bed for it anyway, so I will keep the metal body on it. (I may have a rear body for sale in the near future).
I was a bit worried about this project when I went to look at this cart before I bought it, but I know all you guys are more than happy to help a fella out, and it's appreciated!

I'm going to strip that crap out of the battery tray and toss it then. Then I can scrub it, and put a new coat of paint on it too. Thanks!
