Parsons Racing rockers and springs
Received present today from UPS. Parsons 1:3:1 rockers, guide plates and springs.
Anyone using these now? What are your thoughts on pushrods and how far should I spin up my RPMs without bending them? GX670, Stretch Plastics exhaust, no governor, K/N. |

Re: Parsons Racing rockers and springs
The slots in the guide plates are a little to wide for your stock push rods. You can order their cut to length push rods for a better fit to the guide plates or use your stock plates with .083 shims under the rocker studs to allow enough height to reinstall the pivot balls and lock nuts. I used the shims myself.

Thanks...****. I wish that they would have told me that a week ago when I ordered their guide plates and I asked about the rods.

Re: Parsons Racing rockers and springs
I'm in the same boat you are, I also ordered the guide plates. I installed a set of those rockers this weekend on a gx620 with a true cold air intake. K&N Air filter is at engine cradle breathing through a 2" aluminum tube and snorkel intake adapter. Very good performance. this engine also has the heads ported and cut .025 with .005 copper head gaskets. My engine is the same setup with a gx670 carb and ported intake. My setup also makes very good power.

Show a pic of your intake. Are you going to have them make you rods or send back the guide plates?

Re: Parsons Racing rockers and springs
not sure what I'm going to do with the guide plates yet. I might have new ones done on a water jet with the correct width slots. I will take a pic of the intake setup and post by the week end.

Re: Parsons Racing rockers and springs
Just so I am ready does anyone know the length of the OEM rods in a GX670?
If I don't hear from Parsons tomorrow..any idea of the specs that I would need to order them somewhere else? |

Re: Parsons Racing rockers and springs
I don't remember off the top of my head.
I'll have to go pull one and measure it. http://www.affordablegokarts.com/mm5...ory_Code=CHVT2 |
