GX670 Vent tube
Guys, I found this on some website in an old post. Does it apply to my GX670 since I am doing all this work and planning to spin up to 5k+ rpms?
"The faulty PCV baffles in the Honda 24hp's are the reason it puffs smoke (usually a LOT of smoke) and runs poorly after a high speed run, it just sucks that mess right into the carburetor. After you get done with the mod get some carb cleaner and spray it down in the carb to remove the oil residue. Get a rubber cap to cover the nipple on the carb intake (that pulls the vacuum from the PCV) and just use a fuel filter on the end of the PCV line to prevent much oil from sloshing out and dirt from getting in." If this is true would this kit work? http://www.affordablegokarts.com/mm5...gory_Code=AFC2 |

Re: GX670 Vent tube
I've never had that problem with a K&N filter. I have had it happen with a stock paper filter.

Re: GX670 Vent tube
So the theory is that the carb cannot pull in enough air through the paper filter and resorts to sucking in oil through the PCV tube?
