Default 16 horse opposed twin

I have removed the governor and the motor runs good but you haved to give it throttle real slow. I was wondering if anybody knows how to get better throttle response out of the motor? The motor is a 16hp briggs opposed twin. Thanks

Did you change the airbox or muffler? If you increase the air flow on most of these you have to jet them richer.

Is there an adjustment screw to the right-side of the carb facing out on an angle? If so,that is your High-Speed adjustment.Only turn it 1/8 turn at a time, and then test-run it.If there is no adjustment-screw,it has a fixed-jet,covered by a plug. There is a larger jet availiable,I have the number, but have to find my book. The adjustment-screw directly under the fuel-pump is your main-adjustment.Start at 1-1/2 turns out.Only make one adjustment at at a time, too keep from getting no-where fast!Hope this helps.
