Default Vanguard fuel solenoid connection?

Does anybody know if this is the fuel solenoid connection?

The red wire with the black sleeve hanging by the starter is.

Thx buddy...that was the one. 9vdc battery confirmed. Any idea what the terminal off the shroud is?

so if that is grounded it kills the ignition? i wasnt planning on using that. i was just gonna deenergize the fuel solenoid. i guess i should use that too huh?

good point...made me laugh too. id feel pretty silly when it takes a min. or more for the motor to stop after i turn off the ignition switch...duh.

I guess since your asking these questions you about to wire it up. I had mine out the other day and decided to make a wiring harness. All i had eas the plugs from some trailer lights so that's what i used. I would have rather ordered better plugs from summit or jegs but im to impatient for that

Yeah...i wired it up last night. Finally got to the point of testing the wiring and even turning the engine over. I basically reused the factory harness & wires. I had to pull a new charge wire from the voltage regulator. I also added an aftermarket gauge cluster (oil press, temperature and amps) so that complicated things a bit. Gonna button it up today and hopefully have it running.
