Default New Motor in '84 TXT

Hey y'all I just purchased a 1984 EZGO TXT with a 95 4 stroke motor in it... anyways I'd like to know A) top speeds of the motor and B) what kind of motor i could put in it to get to a top speed of 30-35 mph thanks for any input!!

Your cart is a "marathon" my friend. Txt are made '96 or newer. In 94-95 the medalist was the model. The medalist gas carts came with 295 engine n 350 engines. We still need to know wat u hav in the cart to giv constructive comments. Speed depends on lots of things..HP, clutching, exhaust, tire size, belt length, gov adjusts, fuel/air input n more. In fact if ur cart has a 4 stroke rear end it just may hit 30 mph already. Jus needs sum tweeking. U sacrifice torque to gain speed n vice versa. Giv us all u know n sum pics of ur drive train n wat ur trying to obtain n there r many on here that will get u were u wana b.

Yeah i thought that it was a marathon, but it says textron on it, and yeah i'll get some pics up here.
