Key switch Shocking me
Am I missing a ground on my switch ? The only terminal that is empty is M= magneto. the others are L= lights S= starter G= ground. B= battery

Honda gx 620. I`m not sure what switch it is. I just know how the terminals are marked.

Hard to help if we dont know the switch.
The attached requires the entire switch body be grounded. I used this switch on my Honda before I got the Harley switch. |

I thought I described what switch I had in my first post. I guess I need to try and ground the body of the switch.

I had a cart with a briggs that did the same thing. Didn't have it long enough to see why, the key had some black tape wrapped around it, and I found out why, it was a good shock too! Try getting a set of keys made that have black plastic like a car has. The shock was pretty good so the voltage must have been going thru a coil such as solenoid, spark plug coil, back-up buzzer coil, maybe a better ground wire/cables from batt.-frame-engine

I did not have the engine grounded. Grounding it helped but there is still some bite to it.
