Re: Strongest frame for hi H.P.
Im thinking late model Yamaha with no frame rust or damage with a full "roll cage". You can gusset the frame at the stress points and use a beefy dom for the cage.

yamaha, or any fully caged cart.
I'd stay away from club car unless you can weld aluminum. |

Re: Strongest frame for hi H.P.
Agreed. Aluminum is known for it's inability to handle stress. (it cracks when flexed repeatedly)
None of the golf cart frames are suitable for a 'crazy' high horse power build. Make your own. |

Old EZGO industrial cart. There are actually 3 closed tubular frames, at least on mine there is!

Re: Strongest frame for hi H.P.
The Industrial would actually be weak, since its' built so rigid for its' originally designed use.The biggest mistake in any Chassis-Build is over-bracing and over-engineering.It needs to flex or it will break.I agree that the Yamaha is the best choice,Ez-Go next,The Club-Car could work, but it would take some involved work to make it right. On the Ez,I would re-design everything forward of the swing-arm.The center and forward frame don't offer much as a frame.
