16 hp vanguard in a g1

I want to put a 16 hp vanny in my ole' 84 g1 i know i need a rearend for it to have f/r (some one said a g2 rear will work) if so can you change the gearing to go faster? (this will be a lowered cart) and what clutch will i need for it? and most of all is it worth it ??? i can get the engine for a 100 bucks...and plan on selling the old engine and clutch....
