you can run shell rotellea a whole lot cheaper then royal purple with the same benifits. most on here prob will tell you mobil 1. but i run either mobil 1 or super tech 10 w 30 form wally world. i was told there that the super tech is mobil one oil. i have been running it for about 10 years in the car with out any issues. look at the bottles when you get a change, they used to be identical, but they have made some slight changes to them.
but my grandfather loved the wolfs head brand. hed run up to somewhere up in pennsyvania and pick it up by the truck load for his farm!

Shell or Delo 5w40 synthetic diesel oil.

Run it in the AZ heat and -10 with no issues.

Have had great luck with Mobil 1 0w40 European oil.

Look for any oil that meets the ACEA A3/B3 standard as well.

My cart I ran napa synthetic for over 10yr with no problem, but its a 92 and now its burning oil. Guess I ran it with no governor since 99 I really should not complain. I like valvoline but would put just about any (known) brand synthetic in my cart and napa was on sale once so I bought many years supply. I'll run the same in my BB after break in.

If you need SAE-30,the only one I've found in Synthetic is Kendall.I got it at Napa.If you are running a Splash-Lube Motor(Yamaha,Older Briggs,etc..)Run Synthetic.I raced Go-Karts in the early-80's when Synthetics first got used,It was way more expensive($6/qt as to .50/qt for regular oil)We ran our Karts at 6-6500 rpm(splash-lube 5hp Briggs) all season, never touched them till after the Season Championship. They were perfect,Standard oil wouldn't last thru a Qualifier at those speeds.I'm all for Synthetics in harsh-conditions,especially now that they are close to the price of regular oil.Blends are not the same,I wouldn't trust a good motor with them vs Straight Synthetic.Never,Ever break in a motor on Synthetics,They need the friction and additives of a standard oil to seat the rings, and bed the bearings in.Run a Break-in for a few-hours,then dump, refill with the same oil as break-in,run it to the half of first recommended change,Then switch to synthetic.Just my thoughts,Hope this helps.

I used to race go-karts i would use a castro 5-30 sythetic blend. I changed oil the day of the race. A lot of the guys was running the racing oil(thinner than machince oil) changing between heats. Man i miss the spray of methanol in my face.
