Default Vanguard in a CC

I have a 99 CC that I am going to put a 18hp Vanguard in but would like to do it on a budget. I have read all the different threads and I know about the reverse rotation but what I was wondering about is would it be better to install it with the stub shaft method or with the jack shaft method. If I did the jack shaft method what teeth sprockets would I use where. I do have the engine sitting in the cart but have not bolted it down yet because I was not sure which way I was gonna mount it for sure yet. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated at this time.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen that kit. The issue with that is I already have the engine so I do not need the whole kit.

I would go with the kit. I did it all from scratch and it was a pain in the ***.
