It doesn't have gear reduction. They just copied the honda manual and reworded it in very poor english. Pictures of the engine around friday.
I also wired up the start box thing and think I got it right. If anybody has pictures of it post them up. |

Does that engine have a charging system?

Just got word that my clone showed up at my house today. Too bad I'm stuck in a hotel for the rest of the week.
Which one of the Honda manuals did you download? It says to reference serial no. but of course my motor's not a real Honda and I can't look at it anyway. |

I just clicked on the first manual. I don't know if it has a charging system on it. Hopefully it does I didn't see an alternator on it or the carrol stream version. But the Carrol Stream one says it has one so mine should but I don't know.

Should just be a single wire coming off of it for charging. There is a regulator on there somewhere.

How did you wire the starter box? All I can do is start it with the electric start, when I turn it to the off position it will still run. I have to turn down the ideal till it stalls now it is a real pain in the @$$. I still have 2 black wires hanging from the starter box and have now idea where they go. Can you tell me how you wired yours?

I don't know where those two black wires go. I decided to connect then together. I have not started mine yet so I don't know how this works.

Tomorrow I will be back with my cart and will begin the actual swap part. The only hardware I need right now is a 3/8" 24 UNF bolt and a washer to hold the clutch on.
So tomorrow I will powerwash the frame, hacksaw, bolt, and hopefully fire. |

I tried mocking up the engine today. So far I have problems with my metal because it is the shape of a U or a channel and the U is too deep to get a tool into to tighten the U-Bolts. My other problem is the exhaust interfering with the upper frame behind the seat. I can't even position the engine because the lack of clearance for the exhaust makes the valve cover hit the rear end.
