Default Few questions about the BB kits

Is it still electric start or running all the time?? Does the charging system still work? If it runs all the time, where is the igniton and how do you start it?? Tranny bolt back up?? Rear end handle the power?? I searched but everything was alot more detail oriented and didn't answer these basic questions, sorry if I missed them

Thanks

I dont know what you mean by "running all the time"?
It starts and runs like your car not like a golf cart that starts with the pedal.

I've also assumed you're talking about the CPP kits, http://www.cartpartsplus.com/perform...-upgrades.html
I dont know about any others.

Thanks for the response.

By running all the time I mean start with a key or by the pedal, like now. But you answered that. How do you start it? With a key? push button? pull rope? I'm assuming it's however you wire it. guess I'm wondering what comes in the kit.. Yes I would get the B&S setup off of CPP.

Thanks for the help

Starts with a key just like a car. The CPP engine comes all wired and ready to install and the kit includes everything you will need. Like Ess said, give Tom a call.

The kit it starts like a lawnmower or utv, quad, etc. You can make bigblocks start like golf carts too if you keep the generator. Some keep it just to charge but most v twin charge enough you don't have to....unless you want it to work like a cart does. I did a clone conversion and its just like stock except the exhaust is a little louder and it has more power. Most all lawn engines have compression release so the gen can still start them. The only issue is you have to use a GC clutch with the belt pulley on it. You do have to setup or use a clutch that does not drag and move the cart with an engine that runs all the time, or you can't shift gears at idle. Otherwise you can do it how you want. Some kits might not fit the gen.
