2007 club car Turf 2 to get a big block conversion.
well, I've been reading on here for ever and haven't made to many posts. I have a 2007 Turf2 CC. I built a dump body for it, a fully enclosed cab with removable doors, Installed a 60" kimpex plow, propane heater, Jakes 6" spindle lift, Custom Brush guard, Front 4500# winch, Rear mounted 3000# winch, and a few other doo dads.
I have about 300 hours on it and have some pretty heavy grooves in the current clutch sheaves. This is my second clutch, and i am not happy with the factory clutches. I will be putting one more new CC clutch on it to get me through the winter of plowing and that will be it!! I recently got a hold of a White garden tractor. It has an 18hp Briggs Vanguard Vtwin in it that has some blow by. I plan to pull it out and apart and replace the rings, and all gaskets and seals. If it needs more, it will get it. It runs currently and sounds really nice. I got the whole tractor running and driving for free!!! I am not going to be able to justify buying a swap kit at the prices they are sold for, and i am very handy with a welder so i will be fabricating my own engine mounts. I have thought of getting a spare factory motor/trans/axle plate and building from there. Does any one know where i can get one? I am definitely looking forward to the sound and power of a Vtwin in this thing. Its a proven work horse around my place, and it owns the trails here too. I am not easy on it, and it has definitely held up to some massive abuse, and huge work loads!!! Thanks in advance for any help, tips, and advice!! |

Can't help with the axle but the build sounds cool. Can't wait to see some pictures and will be keeping an eye on the build.

Re: 2007 club car Turf 2 to get a big block conversion.
im ok with the lower forward gears, i do a lot of plowing, heavily loaded hauling, and slow rocky trails.
Im looking for the "Pan" the motor and trans mount to. I did just paint the cowl, and brush guard, and i will be finishing painting the cart in the next week or so as time allows. Ill try to post some pics up soon!! |
