Default V twin 19hp Briggs from generator questions on shaft?

What are my options with the shaft? It has a tapered shaft, but it is smaller then the club car 95, stock clutch shaft, any help or experience here? Thanks in advance! Trying to stay somewhat inexpensive.

Do you still have the generator? You could possibly use it's shaft mounting and have it machined to fit your clutch.

I had my generac 33hp crank turned down to 1" then stepped it down to 3/4 at the end and put a sleeve on that to bring it back to 1",Put a keyway on the 1" part of crank, Of course I han a new comet clutch for a 1" shaft for it

I had to pull side cover cam ,1 head and pull 1 piston from block. Really not that hard, if you have the abilities ,just have to do it slow and catch the lifters as they come out so you can out them back in the same whole. It's a good idea to have your gasket set bought before you start so you can get it back together as soon as crank is done.

If they machine it to 1",then you can get the CPP adapter and use the stock clutch.Or have them machine it to match the taper of the stock clutch, just bring them your old crank,or the whole motor.Hope this helps.

Most Vtwin crankshafts can be pulled without pulling a head...it just takes a little doing..Be SURE to mark your cam, don't count on the markings..make sure you mark the valve tappets, and the rod end caps, don't mismatch them later..

You have to have enough *meat* left on there to machine it down to one inch.and then adapt it back up to your taper. My best advise is take it to a machinist, both engines, if possible, and get his take on it, might save you a lot.

I have had two crankshafts machined down to what I wanted from a BRiggs and from a Robin vtwin.. If you want, take both crankshafts, but last time I took the crank from the vtwin, and the stock motor from a ez go (robin eh295 taper shaft) and let him build it down from there.

Good luck.
