Default 2007 ezgo motor upgrade

I'm rebuilding cart over winter. Bigger lift, tires, and getting body painted. I'm debating about putting a bigger motor in there. It has an 11HP now I wanna go bigger but not to big because I'll be running around the campground. So what do you'll recommend? How hard is it to build it up? And everything you need to do to Cary? Thanks for help

If you go to big block keep in mind they are loud as heck vs the stock engines. you can put lots of time into muffling the bigger engines, and you will likely have to if youre in a camp.

That being said, the sky is the limit, this is BGG, I have seen it all on here.. Briggs motors in planes, diesel engines in carts.. crotch rocket engines in carts.. amazing.

It depends on what you want. If you are tired of slow take offs and or you just want some serious umph, yes, big block (need a cradle, 4" min. lift. engine, clutch, exhaust @ minimum) If you want some more power, I would look into hopping up the 11...so you can keep it quiet.
The move to big block is a big change, the entire cart will have a different dynamic entirely. It is like driving an entirely different vehicle, nothing like a cart at all after a big block, it is more like a trail UTV.

Good Point CSASON. I can't recommend a big block conversion for tooling around the campground. It is better for roaring up a steep trail or forcing your way through a muddy bog. Mine is more noise than go. Don't get me wrong it is fun but, 90% of the time I just jump in a silent electric cart and scoot wherever I'm goin.

Yeah.. judging from that picture, I would say a big block would be really cool for about ten minutes.. maybe a day, then the camp people would be telling you not to run it.

A cart with a big block is a lot like a BIG 4 Wheeler.. that is the issue, you probably want another 3-4 HP and it would be overkill more than likely..BUT, it is a big world, I have seen it all, it might be just what you want..have no idea.

They sound like a large lawn tractor...unless you spend a lot of time building a custom exhaust , and even then they sound like a vtwin..not like a finely tuned
Robin Subaru 11 twin they sound like sewing machines compared to a vtwin cart.
