23 hp vangaurd idle issue
i just bought a ezgo with a 23 hp vangaurd in it. ive adjusted to throttle linkage for a nice idle where i can put it into gear and the cart doesnt move, but when i rev it up, or im driving down the street and come to a stop, it almost dies and takes about 7 seconds to clear up and idle good again. would this be a lean or rich condition when im above idle.

Re: 23 hp vangaurd idle issue
It sounds like it is running too fat (rich) on the low end. Is it a Nikki 2 barrel carb? If it is, the fuel for the low end jets goes through the high end jet(s). Alot of guys drill out the low end jets for better performance. If they were drilled too big, you will have what you are experiencing, and the only cure is to solder them closed and re-drill.
