Default briggs and other v twin oil gauges

well after spending 2 hours degreasing engine parts I thought I would start looking at oil pressure gauges and wanted some feedback as to what others are using.
my plans are to find a guage with 0-50 or 60 psi with a wide sweep to i could monitor pressure down in to the single digits since i was checking out youtube and found an install that when cold got 40 psi then dropped to 5 psi or unreadable on the gauge he had when hot.

Something must be wrong if the oil press is dropping to below 5 psi. My OP doesn't drop below 35-40 when hot. The gauge is electrical, not mechanical.

The sending unit that came with the gauge was quite large and needed to be plumbed to fit.

Yes, it needs 12v, and there is a connection on the top. There is only one way to plumb it in and should not affect the low oil shutdown.
