Milling Heads Briggs V twin
I milled the heads on my Briggs V Twin 294447 14 hp v twin and shimmed the springs and put in a rev kit. It seems to sputter at high rev. Did I mill it to much?

Yup,93-Minimum(they recommend at least 89 stock!).Timing,Spark-Plug heat-range and jetting come into play when you start messing with compression. What exhaust do you have?A restrictive exhaust is even worse with higher compression.

Re: Milling Heads Briggs V twin
I have stock carb and stock exhaust. I have not put the motor in the cart yet.
I am planning on putting a 2 brl carb and a header from cp on it. I may just go back to stock heads. What do you all think |

Re: Milling Heads Briggs V twin
you should be able to re-jet it. high octane gas is bad for those engines it makes them run alot hotter which is terrible on the engine and can egg shape the cylinders. i think if you jet it out it should be fine..
