Default Vanguard 16 HP rotation

I have a Vanguard 16 hp engine I want to use in a club car turf II carryall. I need a counter clockwise rotation for the club car but my engine currently has a clockwise rotation. What do I need to do to switch the engine rotation?

You won't be able to switch engine rotation. That Vanny motor should turn CCW when viewed from the shaft side.

I don't know. I'm not a Club Car guy. Which direction did the motor shaft turn on the old motor?

Looked at it again and it turns clockwise. Is there a way to make it work?

If you take the black plastic screen off the side of the motor(4 screws), you'll see that there is a place to mount a shaft to the flywheel. My buddy did this with a 25hp Kohler engine and it works good.

Is yours a pre 96 model? If you look directly at the motor, correct..the shaft turns counter clockwise, but the 97+ CC's tranny turn clockwise. If you bolt the engine directly in line with the factory driven clutch on the rear diff, they turn opposite.
When you remove the front of the engine cover where the flywheel is, it is a threaded shaft that has a huge nut on it, there is no way to attach a clutch to that.
The problem we are having is either trying to determine if there is a way to mesh both together, looks like we may have to go with a 96- rear diff.

How exactly did you make your work?
