Most outboard motors need a constant, fresh water supply to keep the engine cool. I guess you could always get one of those hose-bib "cheaters" that allow you to run your boat in your yard, as long as you don't drive the golf cart outside of the water hose range. Doesn't seem like an efficient idea without heavy modification, but it would not surprise me if someone has tried it already.

I'm no outboard motor expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

ha lol nice. I can see it now hose reel mounted on the back of the cart.!!

but reall I would remove the engine itself from its (case) mounts and use a radiator.

the crank is vertical and atached to an extension shaft to the lower unit to turn the water pump pushing water up tothe motor so I guess its possible but you need water supply and turn motor on it side a whole lot more trouble than just doin a Vanny transplant
