Default Re-Born OMG II

I know this is crazy but here it is, just posting in this section, well should just about give it away. I had always wanted to build a gas cart but after much talk with some friends and member's of the forum well let's say I was enabled.

First off I would like to point out a few details, those who think of switching from electric to gas should really read this because since I have built several electric carts until I took the 05 gas down to the frame to sell off it's parts did I even realize the difference.

1. There is a angle support that installs in the middle cross beam by your feet, this is there for extra support from the engine area. In fact in this area the holes are not completely the same, you will be drilling.

2. When installing the fuel tank there is no supports to tie onto you must fab them up yourself, you can not buy them.

3. The FnR position on an electric is welded to the front, this needs to be cut out to make room for the bolted on FnR.

4. If you have already bought a lift, the rear end is just a little different, I was fortunate enough to have had the u-bolts to support this change.

5. The foot pedal even though looks the same there is a difference, now you may be able to buy the part in the foot pedal for the accelerator cable to attach to, but in my case I just swapped them out.

6. If you are going to a stock engine there is no tab to mount your fuel pump this will need to be created on where to mount it.

7. Of course the obvious, you will need a gas rear axle, like I am sure most sponsors will say they do not recommend this because it can get expensive in my case I had a donor cart so it was just a matter of tearing it down.

In any case this is where my cart was in it's last know position in it's electric form.

Well I first started out by moving all of the wiring to the other side of the cart that I had run down the passenger side, this had to be so I had room for the gas tank.

Once I got all of that done, I then removed the center and all of the items that I had installed for the electric cart then got the gas tank installed etc, etc. In fact at this point I thought I had the angle piece and everything ready, that was until the BB kit from Tom (CPP) got here

Here is the rear axle coming in, since I have installed the stretch kit I have noticed that the front and rear tires do not line up, so purchased some 3" spacers to help this out. Even though I had my brakes and stuff already mounted I had to buy new hardware to get this installed,,,,the darn spacers show up today so the rear tires can be reinstalled.

Ok engine cradle is in, once I got this in I was able to work on getting the angle of the rear axle angled correctly.
