BIG Big Block
This will the the official thread for my GSXR install, its a 1992 GSXR 750. the motor is a four banger four stroke. I have had it running once before putting it in the cart, and man those straight headers were loud!!! I have A few things to sort out on the motor before I will be putting it in:
First, I noticed that the plug on one of the oil galleries had the wrong sized bolt in it so it was leaking slightly, so i will be ordering a new one of those, Second, I need to get longer throttle cables to go to the pedal Third, I need to figure out how the choke works on this bad boy, I have a cable, but I can't seem to get it to do anything to the choke when I pull on it. Fourthly, I have to get some type of hydrolic brake set up on her too, I have a spot to put a master cylinder but I just need to find one small enough. I will be getting some A-Arms off of a sport quad, and hope to find some that have a front brake set up on them so that I can stop this thing!!!! I will also need to get a solid rear axle and brake set up for the rear end of this baby. and I will be buying four coil overs from a sport quad to go in the corners. The frame is a G-1, but I have fitted it with a G-16 body on it, i also have a 2000 LB winch on the front of this baby hidden behind a monster bumper, which I am now going to make bigger and add lights to it as well. I have made a custom Roll cage for this suckka, and I have two boat seats to install into it for the passengers. As of right now I have the stock 8 inch rims with 22x12 Mud lites on, but I think I am going to sell them and get some 12 inch rims and some 27 inch tires for this thing, it will look sweet and will help tame this beast!!! I will get some Pics up soon, any imput would be taken with pleasure!! |

Re: BIG Big Block
I am going today to a Cycle salvage place today, I called and they said that they had a solid rear axle, front a-arms and coil overs, disk brakes and the hubs for rims, gear and brake to mount to.
I will get some pics of the parts that I pick up if they are for the right price, if i can get it for the right price. |

Re: BIG Big Block
I never made it to the Cycle Salvage place before it closed today, so I will have to wait untill tommorow to get the stuff, so I will have to make you guys wait one more day to see, what I will be throwing into this bad boy.
I can't wait to see what a 110 six speed golf cart feels like. Oh and I have a Vance and Hanes performance pipe that I will try to use to muffle this thing |

Re: BIG Big Block
I just got back from the cycle salvage palce and it looks like i will be taking home a susuki 250 quad racer frame. it has everything that i need, I will take the pics off my phone and show you guys when i get a chance. once its all installed I will have hydrolic front and rear brakes with this set up, and with coil overs in the front and in the rear.
What I will do is cut the rear axle off with the bearing assembly and everything and weld that up to the rear swing arm on the cart, then cut the frame off right behind the front suspention and then weld that up, run the brake lines, get a master cylinder set up and I will be able to stop this baby. I hope to get the motor mounted on the swing arm this weekend weather permitting. then I need to figure out how I will run the shifter. |
