14 hp vanguard

Just picked up a 14 hp vanguard motor. Can these be hopped up like the bigger ones? using the same cams and parts? I know there is a diferance in the heads of the 16 being smaller chamber, should these be the smaller or larger chamber? going to be putting it into a g-16 yamaha. any help and particulars would be appereciated.

I think you can use a stock Vanguard 23 HP cam,thin head gaskets & a timing advance key in these smaller engines to add a little pep

Check with Tom @ CPP to see if he has any new "take-off" cams in stock (I know he has the timing advance key & head gaskets for 18 & 23 HP ).
