23 HP Big Block carb questions

I have the big block 23 HP in my cart. I dont seem to be able to get the power out of it I expected. I think its just a small problem of not getting the carb to open up all the way. Anybody have a couple pics of your throttle linkages I could look at? Mine is a monstrosoty!! I have a G-9 yammi. Maybe another route. I have a bunch of Mikuni carbs from 28MM to 40MM. Anybody know if I can buy or make an intake adapter to use one of these?

I have a EZGO, lot's of great suggestions on how to hook up the throttle, after constant adjustment, I found the factory, gas pedal assy was just tired. So I replaced the hole unit with a Mr Gasket, universal t-bucket style. $80 off ebay, and comes with a 4 foot cable. Blackwater Performance systems, make a kit to install a 35mm carb on the 23hp. They also make their own manifold. The kit is a little pricey, but great reviews from the mud boat guys that run them. Do not see a price just for the manifold, call and check!
