Default motor II

Well, The motor got warm and locked up for some reason and requires a new shortblock for $800+. I had rather spend 1200 on a bigger motor like a 21 or a 23. I like the fact that they have oil coolers as well.

Anyway, I have a few questions.

1. WIll the rev kit that I ordered from Tom fit in the 21 or 23?
2. WIll the mounting bolt pattern be the same on them compared to my 18?

Thanks alot...

I think I would double check with Tom, but I don't think the rev kit will
work and I believe the mounting holes are different.

I know frank sells a mounting plate that is universal for pretty much al of the v twins so I think it might drop right in.

After you only put 15 hours on this engine and it crapped out, I'd go with this instead of another Briggs & Stratton.

I would take a Briggs over a Kaw anyday. He abused that engine. Plain and simple. You talked up that lil turd of an engine you got and look where you are now. I dont think many people will listen to your input on another engine. sorry
