18 hp Vanny upgrade
I have an older 18 hp Vanguard model # 350447-0118-01 can someone tell me the correct intake # and manifold # to bolt on the 2 barrel from a 20 hp. I have already purchased the rev kit with heavy rods and when all parts are gathered will install all mentioned and remove gov. of course if there are any other mods to consider at this time please pass them on thanks!!

Re: 18 hp Vanny upgrade
Check with CCP--there's this http://www.cartpartsplus.com/index.p...earch=camshaft or a stock 23hp take-out cam if they have any.

Re: 18 hp Vanny upgrade
Some people have an issue with the stock starter when they install the performance cam. A heavy duty starter is about $200. You can also use a stock 23hp cam from CPP. This cam will give you slightly better performance for 1/4 the price, and you won't have a starter issue.
vanguard-mild-performance-cam BTW... the 16hp build thread is my motor. |

Rev-Kit...
Briggs Rev Kit It's not a real good depiction of what you get. The spring retainers are billet aluminum. You will get 12 copper washers. Toss the pushrods and get these. Billet pushrods |
