Briggs V-Twin Supercharger Install
As some of you may know already, I will be installing a supercharger on my V-twin Briggs. This is the same motor in my build thread.
16hp Briggs Build with 2 barrel carb Well, here it is, grime and all. I bought it on Ebay for $198, plus $80 shipping. It came from Japan in 6 days. It is an Aisin AMR300 supercharger that was used on Subaru cars with 900cc motors. I decided on this model because it is a roots style, and because of it's small physical size. I will be replacing the pulley with a cog-style pulley and running it overdriven at 1.5:1. This will give me a boost of about 8 pounds, calculated at 70% blower efficiency. It is pretty dirty, but appears to be in great shape. Let the fun begin! The dollar bill is for size comparison: This is a size comparison to the 2-barrel carb: |

Re: Briggs V-Twin Supercharger Install
I found out today that this was likely used on a 658cc 4-cylinder Subaru Kei car.
