Re: Lifted/Stretched/GSXR 600 EZgo
first thing i had to do was get the rear hubs to fit the wheels. my buddy that bought the wheels bought all 4 with the 4 on 4 bolt pattern. the rear hubs/axle are from a gas cart i think which has the 5 lug hubs. figured i could cut the flange with the 5 holes off and make my own. it was a little bit more difficult that i had imagined with my limited tooling, but they turned out good. the 4 on 4 pattern ended up within about .005" any way i measured between/across holes, so i think that is acceptable. anyways...
old hub hub cut and turned down for the new flange/face started with raw steel plate for the new flange center drilled and bored for hub center finishing OD on flange ready to weld welded |

Re: Lifted/Stretched/GSXR 600 EZgo
next step, i figured some width would be a good thing to add some stability since i plan on having a fairly high ride height. added 6". figured i could add wheel spacers out back, but i think my plans may have changed now.
didn't get any pics during, but here it is finished. added some 1x2 tubing and fishplate-like pieces across both joints. |
