Engine starting?

Has anyone ever made there engine run like a stock cart motor as in start when the throttle is depressed and shut off when let up? The reason I ask is that I am looking at a yamaha cart missing a motor and can get either a Brigs or Honda to fit it.

Sure, ezgo did it on the st480. they used a carts start/gen setup on the briggs 16hp vanguard.
