Looks great! What have you done to the motor?

23 hp cam rev kit 20 hp 2 barrel carb port work flywheel key billet ARC rods removed govorner from engine and rear end and I am using a version of TheNewGuys vw exhaust set up. I had to do some fabficating to get the throttle set up and clearance for the pcv on top of the engine20131011_210820.jpg

I am looking for disc brake ideas now I heard the ausco cable brakes don't adapt well with the G9

Nice. That's just about the same as mine. You'll love it! 16hp heads? What version of rockers?

well the engine was all original before the rebuild but the funny thing is the heads had 35 stamped in them which is 18hp so I guess that was a briggs uh o. Stock rockers for now and I did c ut the heads down and deck the block to zero with the copper headgaskets

If they are stamped 35, they are 18hp heads. Slightly larger combustion chamber. The 16's(and maybe the 18's) came with 3 different style rockers. The early ones were aluminum rockers with steel rocker shafts. Those are the ones you want. How much did you shave the heads?

They are later style rockers and the heads could only go down .004

Why couldn't you cut the heads any more than .004". I cut mine .060".

Actually .040 and because I decked the block a lil too much
