Default Opposed twin in a cart?

A friend told me he could get me a 16hp opposed twin (B&S I think, but dont know) for about $150, but I dont think there is room for that on a cart.
Has anyone ever tried one, or to you need a V instead?
Thanks
Stevie

No cutting and welding has been done to my cart. I even bought the motor mount from Frank.
