Maybe post a pic of your setup and we can lead you in the right direction.

Re: Briggs 16hp
I havent' gotten as far as installing my 16 yet, still waiting on parts. But from what i have been told, it's best to bypass all the linkages that go to the differential/governor and put the throttle cable directly to the engine from the pedal.
Without seeing what your setup is, I would assume that the position of the throttle cable on the lever is not giving you enough leverage.. defiantly you need to post a picture of what you have... |

Re: Briggs 16hp
You have been asking for help with this issue since back in September. A quick way to resolve it would be to post a pic of your setup. There are many knowledgeable people here that can help, but we usually get dis-interested when we see that it isn't really a priority for the OP to respond. I'm not meaning to sound harsh, but if you would just respond quicker, we could probably resolve this in a matter of an hour or so. I have been helped on this forum more times than I can count. The key is... when you make a connection with someone that can/will help, keep the communication open.

Re: Briggs 16hp
Levers are levers, closer to the center the shorter the throw.
It should be simple to figure out. |
