Default 35hp Briggs in a 93 Club Car....need some advice

I am attempting to place a Briggs 35hp model 6100 motor in a 93 DS gas Club Car. I have installed a Jakes 6-10 inch long travel lift with 12 inch wheels on it. Presently I am looking for advice on the Comet Duster 94c drive clutch and the stock Club Car driven clutch. These 2 clutches are 1/4 inch differance in the width of the belt. The question is, What width belt shoud I use? or is there a better driven clutch that I should use?

Thanks for you help....

For that engine I would be using this clutch>> http://www.cartpartsplus.com/comet-1190-clutch.html

If your stock driven clutch is in good working order, I would start with it. Or, check with the good folks at http://www.cartpartsplus.com/ they are the King of High Performance!!

From what I understand, it is an insurance issue for them. Also, if I remember right, B/S does not approve of the larger engines going into golf carts.

hum i can understand that but. modifying anything by making it fast or installing ANY larger enigine is also an insurance or liability issue. do they have a engine size they stop at? that they think is safe? because u said any larger engines. i would like to see there reasoning for this. cuz you can get killed on anything, going 2 mph or 100 mph. and golf carts are made to do what ? ten, or so . so i kinda think there is more to this story.
this also makes me think that 99 % of dune buggies out there are registered as like 1960 to 1985 vw beatles at 60 hp . but i have seen 350 horsepowered turbo buggies. so who is one to say that they cant -- oh f it this can go on and on . but to be honest. lifting a cart is dangerest also.
