Default Clone in cc with ccw motor help!

Sorry for blowing up post but I'm stumped right now with this motor. Bought a vegas carts motor for my 2000 carry all 2. Only Delima right now is the cw motor with my ccw axel. If I run reverse as forward will adding hs gears change reverse to? I'm not to worried about the faster speeds in reverse than forward. Another option Is the jack shaft, that just seems like a lot if work but maybe I'm over looking it. Also my 440 should be able to get 6500 rpms so I may still be able to push some speed? Any input helps really in a pinch right now over what to do.

Thanks a lot that really helped. So running in reverse seems to not be a big deal and running 8.1 gears is a common thing it seems like thanks .

Has someone changed the rear-end. A 2000 cc has a cw rear. 97 to present are cw rearends. From 97 and older have the ccw rear

I'd do the jack shaft anyday over the rear end they can be hard to find and very pricey. Unless one landed right in front of me I wouldn't consider it I think I'm just gonna run in reverse for now

As corkscrew said in a earlier post, if your cart is a 2000 the rear should be a CW rear no need to run in reverse right ?

All motors are ccw not cw that's why 1997-now is cw which is backwards

the 420/440 clone is a CCW motor not a CW motor, and the 2000 cc is a CW rearend for forward

Run it in reverse for now and either get a set of 8:1 gears or search for a '96 and older CCW rear end and swap it in. If you can find a carryall 272 you can even score a cable locker!
