mph
I'm building a cart thats only going to be street legal. Is there a way to drive a cart say 55 to 60 mph. would I need a straight axel? What about engine Briggs, motor cycle or four wheeler? Can it be done? Thanks Joey!

I think the first thing you will need is to make sure your life insurance is paid up!

Re: mph
Is it possible, yes. Would anyone here advise you on how to do it? I sure hope not. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

Re: mph
Making it go that fast is one thing......trying to stop it at that speed is another.

Re: mph
Joey, seriously. Try and find someone who has a modified cart that will do 25/30 mph and take a ride. My cart is set up right, steering, tires etc. I have modified it to run 30 mph. I can tell you first hand that is faster on a cart than I am really comfortable with on a regular basis. Get a ride. You will see what I am talking about.

Re: mph
Yep,30-40 on a cart is flying, especially when you consider they were designed to go 10-12mph.If it was built from the ground up as a cart to safely run 55-60mph for long runs, you will have a ton of money in brakes,gear-set,steering-parts and safety-gear to keep it safe at that speed on the road.Remember this...Anyone can make something fast, but making it fast and safe takes a lot more thought, time, and cash.We have a G16 that was Gps'd at 35,it scares the crap out of people!!
