Re: Honda gx670 air filter system?
Ok. First I must apologize upfront for the bad photos. I use my phone, and I can't quite figure which way to hold it?????
Second, sorry I have my engine out of my cart right now because I'm doing some work on it. (replacing coils, ignition wiring). So I took pictures of the air intake on it (engine) while it sits on my bench. The first photo is the original intake (length) and original Uni foam filter as it comes when I bought it (minus the green tape). The next photo again is the original as it was purchased. The third photo shows where i decided to modify the length, and shorten the tube. The reason I did this was to raise the air cleaner higher up, away from the ground. I found it was picking up a lot of dust and dirt being too low to the ground (bottom of cart). And for clearance issues in the engine compartment. Mine is in a 2005 Ez-Go TXT. Also, I decided on a better filter. I found a 3" x 6" K&N was a better choice and allows more air than that Uni. The fourth photo just another angle. The fifth photo is my complete air intake, filter, and a Outerwears prefiler cover. Hope this helps. |
