voltage regulator question...
voltage regulator question.. mine is putting out 16-20 volts at idle now used to be about 12-13 volts ... looking at some on fleabay does it matter which on as long as it has 2 yellow wires in and one red wire out ???? also they look the same too ... what your opinion????

the output wire and the battery... and a multimeter

Was the output wire still connected to the battery?
Measure between the output wire and the metal body of the regulator. |

No it wasn't when i checked it. i just tested it the other day and it was good and plus it fried my battery too so these test results are the same with a new battery ...

If that's the case, get a genuine Briggs regulator.
