Re: club car with kohler command 18
I am currently finishing up a rebuild on a 20 hp command. A 1 1/8" bore clutch is hard to find unless you want to shell out at least $250 for a 94c. I had to pull the heads because of a bad valve guide so I just tore it down replaced the rings and seals. While I had it apart I had the PTO turned down to fit 1".

Re: club car with kohler command 18
I already have a 1" bore clutch on a Briggs opposed so it made more sense to use what I already had. But I couldn't find any cheaper then 240.00 like I said that was for a 94c, but all the roller clutches are 350 - 400 for either 1" or 1 1/8". The thing I am seeing is a 1" bore is more plentiful. I am running a 94c on a 16 hp Briggs now and it does what I need, I did add pucks with the stock spring, I haven't checked the exact RPM but I think it kicks in at around 1700 RPM. I am going to a lighter spring when I put it on the Kohler. I haven't tried any other clutches so my answer is only experience with the 94c but I like it fine. I use the cart in the woods for a hunting buggy and it goes where ever I need. It's not a speed demon according to a GPS it gets about 25 MPH and pulls up steep hills with out a problem.

I'm pretty much doing the same build with a kohler command 23 in a club car. You should check out lakotaracing for engine hop up's.
