Default motor head help pls!

I have a build thread over on on road carts, called done before. I have a lifted, vanguard powered monster. I wanted something else. The sub-forum is mostly electric so im guessing that's why im not getting a answer to my question. So I will try to post my question over here. I am sorry if you have seen it before. Just trying to make a different cart. With the help of lot's of others from the forum. Great Ideas everywhere!

In this club car I have installed a old iron 12.5 kohler Flathead, Welded a plate under the stock frame to make it fit. I have little room for adjustment. In my rush, when I got the new club car drive clutch, it was compressed, like it was running flat out. not at idle. I got my 9 and 5/8 from that point. Would not have mattered. I don't have a extra two inches to move the motor. Just to big.
how do you measure the run out of the stock clutch? is there a simple belt change from some one that has been here before? I hope that they do make some kind of belts that might fit. I do have to still put on air shocks, that might give me a tad. but not much. thanks,

Are you asking about how to measure the necessary belt length?

I ran a seamstress tape from the primary clutch center shaft, over the OD of the secondary clutch, and back to the primary, and added 2" to that measurement. Perfect length. I found that procedure on this site.

Watch the club car many use 1" wide belt instead of the 1 3/16 common to most carts and aftermarket stuff. There are ways around it. Also newer than 93 or so they run backwards.

The 1 3/16 belts come in a lot of sizes, the 1" do not.
