18 Briggs engine model # and O.E. Starter Questions
Hello all, I have a DS Club Car I want to do a V-Twin conversion on, forgive me if this was covered somewhere but I can't seem to find it.
Question 1) What motor do I start with? I know the clutch shaft is tapered, so do I get a Generator style engine? Question 2) Most (if not all) the conversions I've seen use the O.E. starter on the motor, I plan on running lights/stereo/marine VHF and strobes and would like to retain the original club car starter/generator/pedal start, has any one done it this way with goodresults? |

Do NOT use a generator engine, taper is different. Use a regular 1" straight shaft engine. Not sure if anyone has done a pedal start with a v-twin.
