Default just acquired a 340 arctic cat motor...

is this worth the time and effort to put in my G2? i have heard it run and seems to be real strong. will there be any problem with forward and reverse if i go from 4 stroke to 2 stroke?

You should not have any problems with fwd and reverse as long as you use the stock rear end. Just line the motor up so the belt will be straight and you will have fwd and reverse. I had a polaris 340, 440 and now I an in the works on putting a ZR600 artic cat motor in my G9.

I would I messed up on the first two motors and did not have the electrical so through some ingenuity I got a kill switch and the start switch to work. Is it a electric or pull start. Also the fuel pump is for the sled should be on your crankcase depending on the year of sled. Trust me I had a blast with my 340 just mess with the spring in the clutch, I put on in that engaged at 1200 rpms so I would not chew up the rear end.

That snowmobile sounds like my first golf cart I had with the sled motor, I blew up the 340 2 times and the 440 once, that is why I am going to a 600 liquid cooled motor now in that one and a honda 954RR in my newest project. You will have a blast with the snowmobile motor, I know I have fun.
