Help with identifying the rear end that my cart has

I purchased a cart recently and the rear end that came in it didnt have any markings or anything on it. Im not even sure if it has reverse or not. So my question is can anyone tell me what this rear is from? I also need a drive pulley for it but not sure where to get one from that will work with my motor. I need to mate it with a 16hp Briggs. The motor has a clutch but im not sure if I should just replace the clutch also? Thanks for the help

I also just purchased a g2 gas rear end. I guess I may just call Vegas carts to see what I need.

that's a Yamaha G1 rear end, no reverse gear. Use the G2 rear.

Thanks!! Wasnt sure what it was from but it seemed like the g2 rear almost.

I welded in the new brackets, fit perfectly. Im putting in a vtwin do I have to use the stock governor on the G2 rear end or can I just bypass it?

Where would I find longer brake cables? Thanks

The motor in your pics isn't a V-Twin,its' an Opposed-Twin.Big displacement,and tons of grunt.I run one,Love it with a G2-rear.Set the Secondary clutch to B2 if using the stock clutch and spring.If the motor is Splash-Lube,definitely run 30w Kendall Synthetic(they are the only ones who make that weight).For your cables,alot of guys flip the brakes over by swapping them side to side and the levers will be on top,instead of under the axle.Hope this helps.

Thank you so very much for the info, I just assumed it was a vtwin. Never gave flipping the brakes over a thought. Ill have to try that tomorrow, this cart had no cables or anything when I got it. I bought a g2 and recently traded for this cart and Im trying to piece it together. Ive only had a golf carts a short time and just started working on them. I have fabrication skills but dont really know what from what on specifics of golf carts. So I hope I dont sound too dumb when I posting stuff lol.

I ordered a heavy duty secondary clutch, I also ordered a Comet 780R primary clutch from Vegas Carts and a drive belt for big block conversion. How do you set it to B2? Im not sure what your saying? Does the governor on the rear end have to be used with our motor setup? Is there a link to any modifications I would need to do to the motor? It sounds like you are running the same motor and rear end I think. Thank you and sorry for all the questions.

Don't apologize for questions, thats the point of the forum
.The clutch setting is for a stock yamaha driven clutch with the stock spring.If you split it,you will see holes in the sheave faces where the spring rides,and a small tang on each end of the spring.Put one in "B", put the other in "2",then turn the sheaves clockwise enough to engage the cam and ramp on the helix,and assemble.Unhook the stock govenor on the engine,it wont work thru a pedal,and the axle govenor is your choice,if you want to limit speed,leave it.The best investment on an opposed is a good set of rods,since the motors will only handle about 4600rpm,before the rods fail.Also,remove the " oil-pan" and see if it has 1 or 2 oil-dippers,for rpm above 2800,it only requires 1,if you look in my Opposed-Twin Swap thread,there should be a pic there of which one to use,and which to remove,remove the wrong one and it wont survive.I run a stock G2 rear and clutch,Ezgo drive clutch,and 22" tires,it ran 24mph stock,put a 2-1 header on and get 32mph now.They arent as impressive off the line as a V-Twin,but once they get wound up,they are fun,and with a header,they sound nasty too.Hope this helps.
