Let's show pics of our GAS engines
After putting my cart together and putting a lot of time and effort into it, I think it would be really interesting to see other people's engines. We always see pics of the outside of the carts, but I like to see what makes them go. I'm asking all who would like to join this post to show off your engines. I'm especially interested in any other big block installs especially ones using the honda GX630 I'd love to find some dress up parts for mine, but try as I may I can't find anything other than the Zemco header which I had ceramic coated. I've even put in a few calls to K&N to see if they can make a drop in air filter for us GX630 guys, I think it would be great to let this engine breath a little better.
Thank you in advance to all of you who take time to post your engine pics |

Re: Let's show pics of our GAS engines
My Ezgo is a 1995, so I decided to upgrade to the single cable shifter to make shifting a little more smooth. I also tried to run all the wires and place all the components for the engine swap in a way that looks as if it could have come this way from the factory.

Re: Let's show pics of our GAS engines
I wanted to keep my wiring as organized, clean, and minimal as possible so I used a lot of marine connectors and distribution blocks as well as a marine fuse holder to keep all the wiring nice and organized.

Up close showing the governor mod I did to remove the factory governor spring, I tested many ways to do this, and found that ultimately using a cable was the best vs a straight piece of rod, because it allowed the engine to idle down faster.

Pic of the back of the engine showing the exhaust exit and the 28 degree driven clutch. I completely rebuilt the rear diff, and used 6:1 gears and all stainless hardware. Every seal and bearing is brand new.

Re: Let's show pics of our GAS engines
Here is the fan cover side and the new gas tank I installed. If anyone knows where to get some billet parts for this engine please let me know, I've seen some guys running custom billet fan shroud covers on their vanguards and I'd love to have one for my gx630 that and a cool looking intake with a K&N filter like they use to have for the GX670 I would really like to dress this engine up a bit.
