Default Enclosed filtration system

I have been wanting to come up with a compact/simple design to bring fresh air into my big block motor, and for venting the PCV. With all the dust in the engine compartment, I already ate up a set of rings. I wanted it completely enclosed from the engine bay, and not be noticable from the outside. I decided to replicate what EZGO installed on the cart originally, except with a much better filter, and more air flow. I tested it this weekend in some serious mud, and it worked great. I even hit the entire engine bay with a pressure washer and it held up fine. Total cost was under $40.

If you found some black pvc tube it would look factory, nice setup!

I used an airbox out of a GM cavilier. You can use a 2" pvc threaded connector and a conduit nut to attach, then pvc to the front of my cart under the front hood. Used part of the hose that came with it then an assortment of pvc connectors and another minivan hose and a radiator hose 90 to attach to my clone....way on the other side of the engine from the airbox. Filters are $7 for it. Welded up a tube and plate to mount the box above/forward of my primary clutch.
Airbox $10 at boneyard including hose
rad hose was pricey at $15
Other hose free with some other stuff at boneyard
Assorted rad hose clamps and pvc tube/fittings a couple bucks each
Welded a 2" muffler clamp to the frame near the gas pedal to hold the pvc pipe.
